For decades, we served the American people through USAID. Today, we stand together to defend the principles that protect career public service.
We are former USAID Foreign Service and Civil Service employees who devoted our careers to advancing American interests and delivering lifesaving humanitarian and development assistance around the world.
Following what we believe was the unlawful dismantling of USAID, we have come together to support legal efforts seeking accountability and defending the integrity of America's nonpartisan civil service.
Why we are Here
The Legal Cases
Nearly 400 former USAID employees are involved in three legal cases, each challenging a different aspect of the agency's dismantling.

Consolidated Appeal: Representing hundreds of former career employees who were removed or placed on administrative leave without the due process protections afforded to career civil servants.

Bradley v. USAID: Challenges allegations that older employees were disproportionately affected during workforce reductions.

Greene v. USAID: Challenges actions related to the elimination of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) programs and positions.
Together, these cases ask an important question:
Can career civil servants be used as legal test cases to challenge longstanding laws governing appropriations, civil service protections and the nonpartisan federal workforce?
Why It Matters
This campaign is not about opposing change.
Government agencies are reorganized and restructured regularly. That is both lawful and expected.
These legal cases focus instead on whether existing laws governing career public servants and the federal workforce were followed during the dismantling of USAID.
The outcome has implications well beyond one agency. It concerns the legal protections afforded to career civil servants across the federal government and the principle that government actions should remain subject to due process and the rule of law.

Meet the real Us

I was a dedicated foreign service officer (FSO) specializing in education who firmly believes in the power of education to overcome obstacles. My professional goal was to become a USAID FSO, and I intentionally coursed my career with different national and international organizations including UNICEF and in different countries to achieve this goal. I was intentional about wanting to serve my country while improving educational opportunities for others in their home countries.
